FIT MASSAGE

Personalized Massage Therapy for Your Wellness Journey

We believe healing is a partnership. Whether you're recovering from injury, managing stress, or optimizing performance, our customized massage therapy helps you move, feel, and live better.

MORE THAN MASSAGE

Through research, continued education and hands on experience, Fit Massage’s philosophy and method of treatment has been developed in the decade we’ve been in business. Starting from the initial visit, your treatment plan is being created for optimal results. You will feel the results even after just one appointment. During the initial consultation, the therapist will take note of your daily activities, symptoms, overall posture/alignment, past injuries and more. With this information, the therapist will then work hands on to assess your body and determine what may be contributing to the symptoms you’re experiencing. Structural variations in the body can be a result of repetitive movement patterns, lack of movement, poor posture, stiff or hypermobile joints, injury, compensation patterns, muscular weakness, etc. Massage can be highly effective in reducing and often alleviating pain and mobility restrictions stemming from these issues. Whether you are active or not, Fit Massage will help you manage your pain and improve an overall feeling of wellness.

A True Healing Partnership

  • Personalized Therapy: Every session is tailored to your needs.

  • Communication First: Your voice matters in your healing process.

  • Holistic Approach: We integrate bodywork with wellness education.

  • Expert Therapists: Highly skilled in therapeutic techniques.

  • Long-Term Wellness Focus: Not just a session, but a path to better health.

Sessions vary and we may use some or all of the following during your treatment. This will be up to your therapist to determine what is needed at the time, unless otherwise indicated or requested.

  • Cupping Therapy*

  • Active Release Therapy

  • Passive Release Therapy

  • Scraping Therapy

  • Stretching

  • Range of Motion

  • Mu-Xing Therapy

  • Trigger Point Therapy

  • Percussion Therapy

  • Myofascial Release

  • Essential Oils

  • Hot/Cold Therapy

*Are you wanting a specific treatment like cupping? Be sure to talk with your therapist and they will include it in your treatment. Otherwise, the therapist will decide which modalities will best serve your treatment goals. This may include all or only a few of the modalities listed.

Our therapists are passionate about providing therapy that produces results and we do not function like a traditional treatment spa. Treatments are scheduled by how much time a treatment will take not a specific service.

Tailored Massage Therapy for Your Unique Needs

Sports massage is a specialized form of therapeutic massage designed to enhance athletic performance and aid in recovery. It targets muscle groups used in specific sports to reduce tension, improve flexibility, prevent injuries, and promote healing. Whether you're training for a competition or recovering from a workout, sports massage can help optimize your physical health and boost overall performance.

Deep tissue is simply providing pressure during massage that reaches the deeper tissues. This is done slowly and with purpose. This is never done with the intention to inflict pain. Pain, while common with deep tissue work, is not a sole or good indicator for an effective treatment. Pressure is increased by layers, working with the body to allow the body space to “open up” to the treatment being provided instead of blocking or resisting the deeper work, which can cause trauma and injury.

Pain Comes from the Brain. People often come to us for pain relief because we focus on what is truly causing the issue and not just where you may be feeling the pain. To interrupt the cycle and truly become pain free, you must find and address the underlying reasons for the body sending that message of pain to your brain, signaling something is wrong. When we can root out the underlying issue(s) and work with the brain, very often the pain will dissipate. This typically takes time and isn’t solved in one session, but by communicating and addressing the deeper causes, your body can become free to release the pain.

Ideal for individuals wanting to maintain a balanced and healthy body, prevent injuries, reduce stress, and support an active lifestyle. These treatments help relieve muscle tension, improve blood and fluid circulation and enhance range of motion. For the average person, it is recommended to schedule a massage once a month to maintain a healthy body. For highly active people (those doing intense exercise 4-6 days/week), it is recommended to schedule a massage every two weeks for the best body maintenance.

Here at Fit Massage, we have a background in various sports and physical activities. We understand the athlete's experience and the importance of getting you ready for the start, recovered, and out there to compete again.

Have you suffered an injury recently? Did you suffer an injury decades ago? No matter how long it has been, we have a system and the tools to help get you back to doing what you love most. We will help guide you through the process of recovery and prevention so you can get back to everyday life.

Had a recent surgery or looking to prepare for one? It is important to prep the tissues for surgery as the body will go into "protection mode" afterwards. We want to keep fascial lines (connective tissue) open and free, with as much range of motion throughout the body as possible before going into surgery. If you are currently dealing with pain and limitations due to injury, we can help get you in a better place beforehand for a less painful recovery. After surgery has been performed, and your doctor has released you, we can start to break up scar tissue formation and help prevent and treat compensations as the body heals. We've helped clients prep and recover from surgeries performed on the knee, hip, back, foot, shoulder, bicep tendon, rotator cuff, labrum and more.

Swedish massage is also known as a classic massage, a treatment used to relax the body to release stress and tension, and more. This massage technique utilizes long gliding stokes towards the heart to promote circulation and lymph flow, compression on major muscle groups and attachment sights to gently release tense muscles. It may also include passive joint mobility and light stretching. The overall intention of a Swedish massage is to relax, energize and loosen tightened muscles in a gentle and compassionate way.

Your Healing Journey Starts With The Right Guide

Kate Huff
Professional Licensed Massage Therapist

With nearly a decade of experience in massage therapy, Katie Huff is deeply passionate about helping clients understand how their bodies work and what can be done, both during sessions and outside of them, to find relief from discomfort. Educating clients is a key part of her approach, as most of her sessions involve collaboration with clients to assess weaknesses, pain, discomfort, habits, and more.

Katie understands that the source of pain or discomfort isn’t always where it is felt, and she works with each client to identify the true cause for lasting relief. While some chronic pain may stem from conditions outside the scope of massage therapy, Katie knows the relaxation and stress relief that massage offers can still provide immense benefit.

No matter the reason for seeking massage, Katie customizes each session to suit the client’s individual needs, ensuring a tailored approach for the best possible results. Beyond just providing relief, Katie empowers her clients with knowledge, guiding them towards lasting solutions to their pain and discomfort.

Katie is committed to fostering a partnership with each client, with the goal of creating lasting change and supporting overall well-being.

Katie Huff embodies the mission of Fit Massage: to bring healing through partnership, one session at a time.
